The Tappex lineup of installation tools includes: FlexiArm® (035 series), Production drivers (029), Hand tools (030/031 series), and a third-generation heat installation machine set to be introduced in early November 2019. Our installation tools enable the fitting of threaded inserts using either heat press-in or self-tapping methods. These tools are suitable for a wide range of engineering plastics, laminates, woods, and light-metal alloys.
The Tappex FlexiArm® is particularly well-suited for batch or medium-volume production operations. It comes with a wide range of standard and special production drivers and can be equipped with 1-3 pneumatic, torque-settable screwdrivers mounted on the pantograph support arms. Tappex-manufactured manual hand-installation tools meet the needs of research and development, maintenance, and customers with low-volume insert installation requirements. These tools are fully compatible with the Tappex range of self-threading inserts: Foamserts®, Triserts®, and Trisert-3s®, as well as inserts for heat installation: Multiserts®, Microbarbs®, and Dedserts®.

ElecArm®
The ElecArm® utilises a robust vertical support column, horizontal-sliding balance arm with spring support and fitted with an electrically powered torque-settable screwdriver. The screwdriver runs on 230/240v mains and is available in 5 torque ranges from 0.29Nm up to 25Nm value.

FlexiArm®
The Tappex FlexiArm® installation equipment consist of 1-3 individual pantograph arm(s) with a Desoutter pneumatic screwdriver(s) attached to each. The screwdriver can be specified with either manual or automatic reverse torque-clutch control and normally operates @ either 510 rpm or 1,100rpm depending upon the thread insert's size and the material into which it is being installed.
